Gauteng Agriculture and Rural Development Internship Programme 2026–2028

The Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is inviting unemployed South African graduates to apply for its 24-month internship programme. The internships are designed to provide structured workplace experience and professional development for graduates holding diplomas or degrees in relevant fields.

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R8,174.75 and will be placed mainly at the department’s Johannesburg head office.

Gauteng Health Department Hiring Specialists and Medical Professionals

The Gauteng Department of Health has also opened several high-level healthcare vacancies at Tara the H. Moross Centre and Tara Hospital in Sandton.

Senior Registrar: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

One of the key vacancies advertised is for a Senior Registrar in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The successful candidate will work jointly with the Department of Psychiatry at the University of the Witwatersrand.

The position offers a salary package ranging from approximately R1.39 million to R1.45 million annually. Applicants must possess:

  • An MBBCh qualification
  • Specialist psychiatry qualifications

Nursing Manager Position Available

The Gauteng Provincial Treasury is seeking experienced professionals for senior leadership positions in municipal finance and public finance management.

Deputy Director-General: Municipal Finance Management

The Treasury is hiring a Deputy Director-General responsible for overseeing municipal finance compliance, capacity building, and financial governance across Gauteng municipalities.

The position offers an annual package of approximately R1.81 million.

Applicants must have:

  • An NQF Level 8 qualification in Public Administration, Accounting, or Economics
  • At least eight years of senior management experience
  • A valid driver’s licence

A master’s degree will serve as an added advantage.

Chief Director: Public Finance

Another senior vacancy available is Chief Director: Public Finance.
