  1. Deputy Director: Systems and Operations Management

Location: Pretoria
Salary: R1,101,468 per annum (inclusive of benefits)

The successful candidate will support metropolitan municipalities in managing infrastructure investments and grant-funded development projects. The role focuses on grant management, stakeholder engagement, performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance with government funding frameworks.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate.
  • Degree (NQF Level 7) in Built Environment (Planning or Engineering) or Financial Management.
  • Project Management qualification will be advantageous.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience, including 2 years at Assistant Director level or equivalent.
  • Experience in grant administration, grant reporting, coordination, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve grant management systems.
  • Monitor grant performance and reporting.
  • Coordinate grant compliance processes.
  • Support knowledge management and stakeholder communication.
  • Provide municipal support and oversee grant implementation activities.
  1. Assistant Director: Investment Planning

Salary: R605,742 per annum (excluding benefits)

This position focuses on grant coordination and technical support related to urban development and neighbourhood development funding programmes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Urban Development, Civil Engineering, or Financial Management.
  • Project Management qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of municipal service delivery, infrastructure development, and project oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate governance structures and stakeholder engagements.
  • Manage programme documentation and reporting.
  • Monitor project implementation and compliance.
  • Support infrastructure assessments and municipal planning.
  • Conduct site visits and monitor project performance.
  1. Programme Coordinator: Office of the Director-General

Reference Number: S069/2026
Location: Pretoria
Salary: R413,001 per annum (excluding benefits)

The National Treasury is also seeking a Programme Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support within the Office of the Director-General.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate.
  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Public Administration, Business Management, Project Management, or Public Management.
  • At least 2 years of administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of government administration processes and budget coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate business support and administrative processes.
  • Manage correspondence, records, and filing systems.
  • Support procurement and financial administration.
  • Organise meetings and stakeholder engagements.
  • Assist with budget coordination and expenditure monitoring.
