Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
  • At least three years of experience in a Human Resource environment.
  • Knowledge of Public Service legislative frameworks and HR administration processes.
  • Understanding of registry duties, data capturing, storage and retrieval procedures.
  • Ability to operate computer systems effectively.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing various human resource administration functions, including:

Human Resource Provisioning

  • Recruitment and selection processes.
  • Appointments and transfers.
  • Verification of qualifications.
  • Providing secretariat support during interviews.
  • Managing probation periods and staff absorptions.

Employee Benefits and Conditions of Service

  • Leave administration.
  • Housing and medical benefits.
  • Injury on duty claims.
  • Long service recognition.
  • Overtime administration.
  • Relocation benefits.
  • Pension-related matters.
  • Various employee allowances.

Human Resource Administration

  • Processing and recommending transactions on the PERSAL system.
  • Supporting performance management processes.
  • Preparing HR reports and statistical information.
  • Responding to HR-related enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

Staff Supervision

  • Allocating work and monitoring quality standards.
  • Supporting employee development initiatives.
  • Conducting performance assessments.
  • Applying disciplinary measures where necessary.
