  • Knowledge of government systems, office management, and public service legislation.
  • Strong communication, planning, and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will:

  • Coordinate correspondence and executive reporting.
  • Support high-level meetings such as EXCO and MANCO.
  • Manage document systems and departmental protocols.
  • Oversee expenditure tracking and supervise junior staff.

This position is ideal for professionals with expertise in quantitative and impact research, particularly within violence prevention and public safety.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • An NQF Level 7 qualification in Social Science, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least three years of proven experience in impact research.
  • Experience in quantitative research methodologies and impact analysis.
  • Knowledge of research software such as SPSS, Stata, Python, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.

Main Duties

The successful applicant will:

  • Conduct evidence-based and quantitative research studies.
  • Analyse the impact of policies and legislation on crime prevention.
  • Develop data collection systems and conduct fieldwork.
  • Compile research reports, briefing notes, and recommendations.
  • Coordinate research publication and dissemination activities.

  • Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury regulations, BAS, LOGIS, and SCM procedures.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.

Duties Include

  • Coordinating bidding and tender processes.
  • Supporting bid committees and procurement planning.
  • Managing supplier databases and quotations.
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement regulations.
  • Assisting with resource and contract management.
