Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in:
    • Social or Human Sciences
    • Development Studies
    • Social Work
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Minimum of three years’ supervisory experience in a related field

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Director will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of policies promoting women’s empowerment and social justice
  • Conducting gender analysis and policy research

  • Assisting with the implementation of the National Strategic Plan on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide
  • Monitoring programme performance and compiling reports
  • Providing administrative and secretariat support within the unit
