Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Appropriate NQF Level 6 qualification in Animal Health or equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA
- Registration with the South African Veterinary Council as an Animal Health Technician
- Valid driver’s licence (except for applicants with disabilities)
- No prior experience required
The department is looking for candidates with strong communication skills, report writing abilities, computer literacy, and knowledge of animal health legislation and disease control programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Implementing animal disease control measures
- Supporting state veterinarians in disease management and livestock production
