About the Role

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in:
    • Computer Science
    • Economics
    • Data Science
    • Information Management
    • Or a related field
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience, including 2 years at Analyst or Assistant Director level
  • Experience in implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and practices
  • Knowledge of data governance standards such as DAMA-DMBOK
  • Understanding of POPIA and data privacy regulations
  • Experience with data management and metadata management tools

  • Implement data governance policies and procedures

    • Economics
    • Econometrics
    • Statistics
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data analysis, economic research, or a related environment
  • Knowledge of modern research methodologies and analytical tools
  • Experience interpreting research findings
  • Proficiency in STATA and R software

Key Responsibilities

  • Support policy research projects using administrative datasets
  • Conduct data quality assessments and analysis
  • Produce policy briefs, reports, presentations, and research notes
  • Assist with data management and quality standards
